Where's A Good Deadly Disease When You Need One?

Well, we tried to see "Love In The Time Of Cholera" this weekend. Turns out, it wasn't showing anywhere in Colorado Springs. WTF? What kind of one horse town is this?

So we saw "Enchanted" instead. It was cute. They gently tease other fairy tales, Disney movies in particular. It was a fun bit o' fluff.

On our way out of the theater, Carla asked if I would go see "P.S. I Love You" with her. I said sure. Tip-toeing around in sensitivity she said, "Are you sure? The guy dies in it." Yes, I'm sure. The dead guy doesn't really bother me much anymore. Especially when it's someone else's dead guy. If it's a good movie about the dead guy, I'll enjoy it. If it's schmalzy and over-sentimental, it'll make me want to puke. It's a risk I can take. A good grieving movie is hard to come by. "Reign Over Me" is the last really, really good grieving movie I saw. I cried. Good thing it was a DVD rental and I watched it at home alone cuz, dang, I can't ruin my reputation.

Besides, "P.S. I Love You" has Harry Connick Jr. in it. He can be schmalzy all day long. I won't mind one bit.
