Of Bourbon And Armpits

I haven't written much on this blog lately. I've posted lots of photos. Haven't had much to talk about. I take that back...I have had much to talk about, but I didn't feel like writing it. Mostly political junk. I don't feel like writing it cuz whatever my opinion was, you could find 10,000 maniacs writing about exactly the same thing. After a while, my eyes start to glaze over. Don't know about you.

I feel like I'm just now starting to decompress from all the hoo-ha. I was driving to work the other day and noticed that the trees are mostly bare now. With the cold settling in, there's a deep stillness that comes with it. Sometimes I crave that stillness, down to my roots. The stillness deepens when it's covered in snow.

So anywho, I have 7 roses from the bouquet that Don sent me for our anniversary that haven't wilted yet. They're sitting here in a seizure-inducing flashy light-up cup from The MGM Grand Rain Forest Cafe in Las Vegas.

I had to go to some training last Friday in Denver. It was stupid. Although it was held at the Qwest building and they have fabulously comfortable chairs and an awesome cafeteria. Even more fabulous, we all went out to dinner afterwards at Pappadeaux's. I had grilled pepper shrimp and Clark, as usual, owed me money, so he bought me bourbon bread pudding for dessert. And we all shared the appetizers of deep fried alligator, boudin, and lump crab & spinach dip.

I was off today for Veteran's Day. I went to the doctor this morning and got a haircut this afternoon. In between, I watched "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". I went to the doctor cuz my armpits hurt. How bizarre is that? It started up a few months ago and I chalked it up to even more bizarro peri-menopause stuff. I won't go into all the weirdness up that alley. But this persisted and was really starting to bother me. I had a clear mammogram over the summer. So my doctor poked around in there and found absolutely nothing. He said persons with hypothyroid and low Vit. D levels are prone to weird crap. Um...thanks. So he did blood work to check my Vit. D...again...and gave me a Vit. B12 shot. Hmm...maybe that Vit. B12 has inspired me to blog!

Lila has a problem. She has too many friends. She can't decide who she wants to celebrate her birthday with.

Dhyana has a problem. She graduates from college next month!!

Don has a problem. I put photos of him when he was 5 on my blog.

is it the skin or on the inside? have you tried using deodorant without cancer-correlated aluminum?
