John Adams
The last episode of "John Adams" aired last night. Another great story you hate to see end although we all know end it must.
One of the things the trailer doesn't do justice to is the relationship John had with his wife, Abigail. You really need to watch the whole thing. Sometimes you really don't like him very much, but when you see him through her eyes, it's very different.
At the end, when she dies before him, he just cries over and over, "my friend". And later, when President John Quincy is asking him for advice, he just shuts him down and says he really needs to ask his wife about such things.
He also had an extraordinary friendship with Thomas Jefferson. They died within hours of each other, July 4, 1826.
