Apparently Disco Doesn't Suck As Much As I Thought

Some of my girls at school last week requested a Disco playlist on my MP3 player. They mostly wanted KC and the Sunshine Band, but of course, I padded that list quite a bit.

You know, I HATED Disco in the 70's. Couldn't tolerate it in the least. Made me want to throw up a little in my mouth. Time and tolerance has softened my opinion. I can enjoy it much more now.

So I played it for my boys this afternoon, not knowing what kind of reaction I'd get out of them. You never know with these guys. So, imagine, if you will, a group 15-17 year old criminals. They're sitting in my art room making tessellations. They're all wearing regulation government green scrubs. They're all singing in their best falsetto "How Deep Is Your Love". They know all the words. They're getting their groove on. I got my chuckle on.

As you know, I love this song... however, that HAS to be one of the least interesting music videos EVER! It was like they did three passes through the song and then that was it because they all had to get to Mama Gibb's birthday dinner or something. As they ran to their cars they told the director, "You'll have enough to edit with, I'm sure you'll make it look great!" Um, no, he didn't, and he didn't.
