Not too much going on. The weather is warming up so it's nice to get out and go for walks and work in the garden and shoot my bow and arrow.
Lila walked with me last week. There's a big hill here that I walk up and then around the top and then back down. I haven't walked it in a long time so it was pretty hard on me. Lila used to not walk it at all with me cuz it was too hard for her. Now...not so much. She practically ran up the darn thing, cheering me on, "Run like the wind, Mama!" Course, I wasn't running at all, but I did manage to make it all the way up without stopping.
Yesterday was my first day in the garden. Just clearing out all the winter junk. Tons of pine needles, pruning dead stalks, pulling out wayward pine trees. My columbines, day lilies and rhubarb are up. We'll see how the rhubarb does this year. I just planted it last year. I love getting out there and seeing what has poked through the ground. I don't how to describe it other than wonderment.
Don adjusted my bow a little yesterday. And I adjusted how I was shooting a little. I hit my first bull's eye. Quite satisfying if I do say so myself.
New favorite music: Ozomatli. I saw them a while back on Austin City Limits. You know you're old and square when you spend your Saturday nights watching PBS. Hey! Ozomatli is playing Breckenridge this weekend. I should go!
