Have You Seen Junior's Grades?

Not much going on. It's CSAP time here in Colorado. Standardized testing. Here, let me help you with a mental image...a loaded gun, my head, bang. Ok?

Obama gave a speech last week about education. I still haven't been able to watch the whole thing so I better not comment on it too much. Rumor has it he's gunning for the NEA. Well alrighty then. I only belong to the teacher's union to have free legal services if a kid should ever make an allegation against me. Rumor has it he's still itching for merit pay. Dude, give it a rest. I'm all about some kind of re-invention for public education, teacher accountability, blah, blah, blah. I can guarantee merit pay will destroy more schools and teachers than NCLB. How's about some penalties for parents who don't give their kids breakfast? Or make them stay home to babysit the younger kids? Or get high with them at night? How's about just giving the power to discipline back to teachers and principals? Business models don't work on education. Obama should just ask me.

Me too! I have all kinds of solutions for problems since I'm not actually cool enough to run for President. Love the post! PS. Are you in check for your inferiority problem shown by talking about suicide? Am I going to have to come in tomorrow and put you in the turtle suit? Better yet, you put me in the suit on Tuesday because I AGREED to CSAP during my retirement!

PPS About the allegation thingy and free legal services...I could not afford to be part of the union, so I opted to join prepaid legal services...$10/month...they have a teacher representation plan. Just FYI...But don't tell Gordon. :)
