Last Wednesday, I told one of my students that he should perform a Foo Fighters song at our next student awards ceremony. You might remember I mentioned this kid last summer when I went to his GED party. Turns out he can sing and play guitar. He's also getting ready to start college so I hope he's even around for our next student awards ceremony.
Later that same morning, Marilyn sent me an email telling me it was Dave Grohl's 40th birthday. My little boyfriend is growing up.
Then, this weekend, the Foos were on TV 3 different times. The first was a repeat of a performance on Fuse from Madison Square Garden. The second was a more recent performance from Wembly Stadium. This included a fun little diddy called "Rock and Roll" where Dave traded places with Taylor and they were accompanied by John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page. The third time was on Austin City Limits. This was my favorite as it's a smaller venue and the sound was better.
My kid at school told me Friday that he's picked "Walking After You" to perform. Granted, he said it's the only one he knows, but I can't wait.

Who is it? I guess you can't really say over the www, eh? I wanna come. So, I heard about Kyle. Crazy! There was a comment from Martinigirl about how she had him for a sub on the article I saw about him. I guess it's good to know she's still out and he's not anymore.
