After watching 10 minutes of Sarah Palin last night, I officially donated money to the Obama campaign.
I wasn't going to vote for John McCain as I disagree with his policies, but I didn't dislike the man. I found him mostly honest (as politicians go), humorous...having the nerve to face Jon Stewart over and over and over again, and genuinely convinced he was doing the right thing.
But he went the wrong way with Palin.
She's scary. She's mean-spirited. Her attempt at humor was demeaning and beneath her. She brings fascism disguised as a Bible. She is the epitome of the of the train wreck the Republican party has become. They are totally in denial of the glaring hypocrisy they spout everyday.
Small government? Not.
Fiscal responsibility? Not.
Walk softly but carry a big stick? Not.
Stay out of peoples' personal lives? Not.
Rule of law, you know, that whole Constitution inconvenience? Not.
Honorable military? Not.
Separation of church and state? Not.
Driving around every week here in Focus on the Family Land, I've seen lots of Obama bumper stickers. Only seen one McCain.
...it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross." Sinclair Lewis
