People Stop And Stare, Baby They Don't Bother Me

I was taking my walk this evening, enjoying the golden late day sun through the Aspen trees, watching the bees careen through the sweet peas, catching a glimpse of Pike's Peak as I rounded King's Crown and thinking how I need to drink in every moment of these beautiful summer days.

A few songs came up in rotation on my MP3 player that I hadn't heard in forever.

The first was "Into the Mystic" by Van Morrison. This song makes me want to close my eyes and sway back and forth. Can't really do that on a walk, but I could still enjoy the feeling.

The next was "I'd Love to Change the World" by Ten Years After. This song reminds me of my brother Richard cuz he drew a picture of Alvin Lee in my 8th grade graduation autograph book.

The last one was "On the Street Where You Live" by Harry Connick Jr. Now, I don't think I can emphasize how much I love this song. First of all, Harry is adorable any way you slice him. Secondly, the song is my most favorite old-timey non-rock and roll love song.

Did I bust out in song like I was in a musical?

You betcha.
