Every Picture Tells A Story

As you might recall, one of my projects was to organize and put into albums all my photos. I had gotten so far as to label them all and put them into Ziploc bags by year.

And then they sat that way for months behind the couch.

With the quilt done now and some of my frantic cleaning done, I'm now able to get back to them. I've only cleaned the most visible and grating areas so far. Our bedroom and the living room. The kitchen is in a constant state of being cleaned and the bathroom will get cleaned before Larry gets here Tuesday cuz....dang. The closets and the computer room downstairs are still on my list. I just don't have the courage yet.

My biggest problem with projects like the photos (and the quilt and my cards and any other artistic endeavor that requires materials and room) is the room. I don't have a permanent area to do that stuff. So it's the dining room table. And I tend to monopolize it. Not good. I have to talk myself into getting everything out cuz I know it will be out for a while.

Dhyana goes back to Lawrence at the end of the month and I'm going to move some stuff back down to The Flamingo Room when she goes. Crazy as it sounds, we enjoy having her here but hope that this is the last summer she lives with us. I have needs, you know. But it's all good. We always have room if she needs it.

Speaking of Dhyana, I'm only up to year 1985 in the photos. Of course, the photos are all of her. Parents take an inordinate amount of photos of their first child on their first birthday. But she's cute so it's not like it's hard to look at them.

I'll let you know when I get to Lila.

so what needs are you having that my presence is hindering?

(I hope I don't have to live here next summer too, as much as it has been good for me.)
