If I Controlled The Internet At 4 A.M.

I was doing a search yesterday on Isabel Allende. She's one of my favorite authors and I'm reading "The Sum of Our Days" right now. I came upon this site called TED.

Now I'm fascinated with it. Each talk is better than the last.

Isabel's talk is here. It's about 20 minutes long. I like it because I like to hear her voice, it makes reading her book more enjoyable. Also, the book is non-fiction. It's a series of letters she wrote to her daughter after her daughter's death. She talks about how, as an author, she has to go on book tours and do speaking engagements. She talks about how it's never easy for her. This makes me appreciate that fact that she showed up even more.

I found a poet on TED that I wish I could see more of. His videos are relatively short. I tried to embed them and they wouldn't for some reason so I'll just have to link them. So please, please, please click. You'll be glad you did.
