Wailin' Jennys

Russell sent his customary late birthday present this week. It's all good, April birthday boy will get his sometime in August or September. That's how we roll.

Anywho, he sent me a CD of the Wailin' Jennys. Ha! Get it? I found them to be beautiful and goosepimply and my favorite mix of bluegrass and non-pop country. And I love it when someone points me to some new music that was totally off my radar.

He also sent me a Barnes & Noble gift card. I just bought 3 books the night we saw Billy Collins. Borders had a teacher appreciation sale. I bought The Sum of Our Days, Unaccustomed Earth, and A World Lit Only By Fire.

I'm still reading Animal Dreams and Janie lent me The Right Attitude to Rain.

So I just don't know what new books I'm gonna get!

"Then he waited, marshaling his thoughts and brooding over his still untested powers. For though he was master of the world, he was not quite sure what to do next. But he would think of something."

I'm jealous. live becomes much less worth living when school sucks up so much time that none of my reading is for pleasure anymore :(
