No Cussing At All

Well, kids, since I'm done with my creative journaling class (hopefully!), I feel more inclined to blog again. Recent conversations with various friends have led me to do a little self-reflection and I enjoy that. It's food for my soul. And I miss it when I let it go too long. So thanks!

I haven't blogged about any political stuff recently either. I have been following the news and listening to the candidates as much as I can stomach. I don't mind listening to them speak; I just can't take the debates. I find the current debate format to be shallow and insulting. I do watch some news programs, usually for few minutes in the mornings. Except for showing the candidates themselves and reporting election results, it's just a bunch of peoples' opinions filling up air time. Some of the people are worth listening to; some not so much.

So I'm gonna pull a Richard and make a prediction. Obama will be our next president. Both Clinton and McCain are playing the fear-monger card and I think people are tired of it. Are there things to fear in the world? Of course. But the fear and constant eroding of our national integrity brought on by Bush is the sure road to ruin. McCain is too much like Bush. Clinton is too much like...well...Clinton. Let the nepotism end for crying out loud!

See, Fred, I didn't cuss at all.

Thanks for not cussing. I must inform you though, that now would not be a good time to "pull a Richard" as I confidently predicted that our nominees would be Guliani and Clinton! I haven't been this wrong since Al Gore let me down by not running in '04. (Not that I would have voted for him, I just thought he could have won.) Good to have you writing again.
