More Of This, That And The Other

So, yea, I've been focused a lot on family history. The main reason is several of the assignments I have to do for my Creative Journaling class involve family photos. The requirements compelled me to gather photos, natural curiosity propelled me further.

A secondary reason is, my brother, Richard, is using Ancestry.com to do our family tree. He gave me user privileges and so now I'm hooked. Although some of the dates I added I just got by talking to my mom. Doh!

In other news, Dhyana compared me to Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd on her blog. I'm flattered in a perverse and morbid way.

I had a situation at work that is too involved for me to describe but it left me feeling personally attacked and thrown under the bus. Luckily, I have a lot of people who have my back and the situation was resolved to everyone's satisfaction. But, this morning on the way to work before I found out it was resolved, I needed some Foo. I let Dave do my screaming. It was all good.

My doctor ordered another overnight pulse oximeter test for me to see if my sleep apnea has improved. The results came back at 90% which is healthy, especially at this altitude. I think he'll be happy when he gets the test results. He used energy medicine to treat the apnea and to strengthen my thyroid. I lost weight. I think the combo is working.

Our social studies teacher at work has been doing a unit on WWII. The culmination is letting the kids build model airplanes of the period. I collaborated with him on this so the kids could use the art room for painting. He was nervous about it since he's never done it before. Our security issues involving glue, paint, toothpicks, snippers, many tiny parts, etc. had him a little antsy. But the kids are doing great. The planes are looking great and best of all...I get to make one too! Mine is a P-40 Warhawk. It's not done yet. I promise a photo when it's done. I promised him I would help him any time he wants to do models.

I'm taking another class to get my credits for my license renewal. It's a book study on a book called "Upside-down Brilliance". It's about visual-spatial learners. The first class is tomorrow night so I guess I better get some more reading done. Luckily, since it's about visual-spatial learners, there's lots of pictures.
