Let's see....
I'm out of school for the summer. I decided not to teach summer school. Haven't taken a summer off in 6 years. Thought it was time. One of our original teachers in our school retired this year so that will be a big change next year. But he'll still be around to sub and he wants to write a grant to do reading tutoring. We can't shake him off that easy!
My principal, who used to be one of us teachers and is a very private person....known the guy for 9 years and hardly know anything about his private life... is finally starting to be a little more relaxed and reveal little tidbits about himself. He gave me a hug when we said so-long for the summer and told me he was going to travel a bit and take his girlfriend's grandson fishing. His "girlfriend" is, for all intents and purposes, his wife. I do know they've been together longer than I've known him. She once tried to get us to convince him to buy her a ring. Ummm....yea....not the best way to go about that! Anywho, it just warmed the innards of my soul to know there is some little 5 year old out there who, for all intents and purposes, called my principal "Grandpa".
Here in the mountains, summer is in full swing. Warm days, cool nights. The pine trees are pollinating which means The Invasion Of The Green Fog! (cue the scary music) The pollen is a very fine green dust that covers everything. You can see it wafting through the breeze occasionally dotted with cottonwood fuzz. Sneeze much? My lilac bushes had a good bloom this year. Their fragrance is a much better thing to waft on the breeze.
We painted Lila's room yesterday. She'll probably take some photos of it soon so just wait for her to post them on her blog instead of me trying to describe it.
I'm almost done reading the first Harry Potter book. Fine bit o' summer reading.
So I'll be working for Don a few days a week over the summer. His mom asked if he was going to pay me. I said he will pay and pay and pay! Friday was my first day at Friendly Computers and I think I'm going to have to sue him for sexual harassment in the workplace.

rI finished the first HP and I am almost through the second one.
I think it will be good for you to work with your husband a little. It will be a real test. See it your still speaking at the end of the summer. :)
Steve and I will have our test in 2 weeks when are in the car for 13 hours and then camping for 4 days. It will be intersting.
We're not speaking now. My lawyer advised against it. The whole harassment issue, you know.
