Chicka- Boom-Boom

Last week was a busy week for Monkey Girl. Her last book report was due, her last musical program for 5th grade was Thursday night, the middle school had their first orientation for parents on Wednesday night, she had a field trip to the middle school on Friday morning with her Kiwanis club, then the rest of Friday was field day. And she started her own blog! She was a tired girl.

The middle school has all this newfangled technology in place so parents and kids can track their grades and assignments online. I teased Lila and told her they had a GPS for her and I could see exactly where she was at any moment in time. She believed me for about 1 minute.

When I went to Dhyana's middle school parent orientation, I was 3 months pregnant with Lila. It was very hot in the school that night and my blood sugar was low and I passed out. It scared Dhyana quite badly.

So we turn another page.

The photo is from her program. She was a "Copabanana Girl", a back-up singer for "Carmine Banana". She got to sing "Boom-chicka-boom!"

well if it makes you feel any better i don't really remember that...
I remember not enjoying the lack of attention the pregnancy created when i was way unhappy with living in colorado... but I guess you passing out at my school function wasn't traumatizing enough to stay with me forever. Or maybe it was so traumatizing that I have repressed the memory, cause that doesn't sound fun...

Maybe it was just me who was traumatized. Sorry you felt neglected. New babies are notorious for that. Maybe you could remember that if you ever have more than one child. And remember I've always only screwed you up "an acceptable amount".

lol yes I am quite pleased with how screwed up I am compared to most other people. I just mainly remember you not being able to be there for me when I hated WP cause you were like sick in bed all day, but once you were actually physiologically functional I don't recall any sub-par parenting shifts or anything, so it's cool. I think I was kinda too old to get significantly jealous at that point, I understood that babies needed attention and was happy to join in on it and wasn't having like 3 year old egocentrism running rampant or anything.
